This year was the year of rumors like any other for the Cupertino based tech giant Apple. Many rumors were doing the rounds regarding three devices: the iPhone SE, new iPad Pro and the MacBook Pro 2016. While we got our fair share of information about the first 2 devices, the new MacBook Pro 2016 was nowhere to be seen, nor did we get any information about it. However, we have a new set of rumors that claim the MacBook Pro 2016 will be unveiled at the upcoming event WWDC on June 13th.
The MacBook Pro 2016 has been awaited for a long time now due to a number of reasons, the primary of which is that it will reportedly feature the latest chipset by Intel, the Skylake processor. Even though there has been no official word on this, we are pretty sure about the Skylake processor as other manufacturers such as HP, Dell and Microsoft have already landed their products with the Skylake processor in the market. So we don’t expect Apple taking long to do the same.
The new processor is not only expected to give better performances but also a better battery life. The current MacBook 13 inch and 15 inch versions offer 10 and 8 hours of usage respectively on a full charge. The Skylake processor on the new MacBook 2016 is expected to churn out 12 hours of usage which is a major improvement.
While the Skylake processor is a feature you can expect to see on the MacBook for sure, there are a couple others we are not too sure about. One such feature is that the MacBook will feature a detachable touch screen. Other features that are we think we will see on the new MacBook are Siri for MacBook pro biometric recognition for users and 256 GB of on board SSD storage space.
With the great anticipation and equally great features, the MacBook 2016 will come with a hefty price tag. So if you’re planning on buying the MacBook Pro 2016, you might as well have to sell MacBook or any other laptop that you currently own.
